I'm thrilled with this book. Well worth the $.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this cookbook!! I came across Carrie's website one day and loved the recipes on her website. [...] I normally won't buy a cookbook, I'll just photocopy a few of the recipes out of the Library's copy. However, this cookbook has so many awesome recipes, I had to have it. I love her extra advice on making things like homemade vanilla extract and "corn free" cornstarch. Also, I SO appreciate her effort toward a whole section on kid friendly recipes. I have 2 kids and I need recipes that they will want to eat... not fancy sophisticated palate recipes. She shows you how to make their favorites in a healthy way!!!I am a huge fan of Carrie's website. She has an awesome section on kid friendly lunch ideas that are simple and d-lish and also a great section on her picks for natural beauty & household products. But let's be real...her dessert section is THE BEST!!!!

I wanted to like this book, I really did. Although there were some recipes I found interesting because of the way she combined flours, for the most part this book just seems like a lot of fillers. Roasting red onions in the oven with sea salt, throwing some raisins on top of kale to make a salad, tossing arugula in lemon juice, or topping leafy greens with bacon and onions - I would say the book is half and half - half recipes that are actually helpful and half that I don't consider recipes at all .

Book has lots of great pics and info. But so far I’ve made 13 recipes following exactly as listed, NOT ONE of them turned out right and I’m a good cook so this is discouraging and upsetting. Some of them I even made again to see if it was just a fluke the first time. But still the food was a disappointment. Too late to get a refund now. Very disappointed.

When I came across Carrie Vitt's website, Deliciously Organic, the first week we were on our grain-free diet it was a life saver. So I was thrilled to get my hands on her new cookbook.First and foremost, my favorite part is the beginning of the book. In the cookbook she goes into specifics about what led to her thyroid disease, her symptoms that left her house bound for months on end with no hope in site, her final diagnosis and her path to healing. As we work our way towards a total healing for our son, it has been such an encouragement to read her story and know we are on the right path to accomplish that.Living grain-free is a big jump for most of us and when we first started this journey at the end of September I was overwhelmed and not sure what was left to cook with or how to convert a traditional recipe into a grain-free dish. I am so glad I have this cookbook now, all in one place I can find all the grains to avoid and sneaky places they add it. At a glance I can see the types of flours that are healthy to cook with and why fats aren't all bad. I learned that lard is actually a good thing. Yes you read that right, lard has gotten a lot of unjustified bad press all these years. Lookout, it's staging a comeback folks.Other things you'll find are helpful tips on kitchen equipment, how to get your kiddos to embrace grain-free, and a super helpful conversion chart for converting your old favorite recipes. As I flipped through the book, I couldn't believe how delicious everything looks. I cannot wait to try each of these recipes. I'm especially excited that the holidays are coming up giving me plenty of chances to try out all the desserts.I have two small children and they both asked for seconds when I made the Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Pot Pies and the Cauliflower Fried Rice. Instant hits!I would highly recommend this cookbook if you live a grain-free lifestyle or even if you don't. Your stomach will thank you!

OMG - BUY this Book. If you're trying to get healthy, I mean REALLY healthy, forget gluten free and go grain free. You'll feel like you're alive for the first time in your life and cure your heartburn for good. BUT you'll miss the grain goodies (muffins, pizza, crapes, and so on) so this book will change your life yet again. My wife, following Carrie Vitt's recipes, is creating restaurant quality crapes and muffins that taste like real bake goods made from wheat without the side effects (gas, cramping, bloating, heartburn). We can't wait to try the Pizza.Never before has a cookbook change our lives so much.

This is a lovely book with beautiful photos and nice quality production. Unfortunately her secret ingredients for baking grain free include gelatin and coconut flour and sugar, neither of which I can eat. However, it's inspiring and she has a whole bunch of good info in the beginning for people who have Hashimoto's and people who like to cook but have dietary restrictions.

Carrie does a great job explaining why she ended up on this path and how to change recipes into GF. She also talks about hidden ingredients with gluten and adds information for substitutes at the end of recipes to help adjust to people's needs. Lots of great from scratch recipes. A great book wether you are just starting down the GF path or have been eating GF for a long time!

Well Made, Gorgeous Pictures, Wonderful Tips, Dairy - free Options for every recipe, The first cookbook I've found that fully aligns with my dietary and nutrition views without being full of rare and expensive ingredients or too much medical propaganda. I look forward to making these recipes, having these recipes easily on - hand, without having to settle into the computer for a search or find my phone charger so I can research from the kitchen. Grain -Free!! Going grain free while being dairy free and generally eating Paleo, with Weston a Price tips, along with Tropical Traditions for resources and Andelou and herbs to care for my skin has put my and my children's eczema into remission! So, this cookbook is a must-have for me! and I Love It! Thanks, Carrie, for paving the way!
