This book has a lot of cool pictures and facts based on the Philippines. The author was a missionary in the Philippines and this book has a photos based tour of many animals, foods, and sights in the Philippines.Some pictures in this book were of the Banaue rice terrace, which is commonly known to Filipinos as the "eighth wonder of the world," Water Buffalo's, and even a carving of Da Vinci's "Last Supper". The picture of Da Vinci's last supper was my favorite part of this book. It was breathtaking!What I love about this book were the pictures and the fun facts. They were so nice and awesome to look at. They pictures and facts the author put into this book makes me want to visit the Philippines for myself to experience what life there is like.I recommend this book to everyone.
... who has visited a lot of Asia and his metropoles.As always - like in his other foto books Traveling the U.S.: Hawaii and Traveling Asia: Tokyo, Taipei, and Hong Kong - Randall Morris concentrates not only on the most scenic themes but gives us an oversight of the nature life, too.This photo book based on his tour of the Philippines includes a mini-guide to animals, food, shopping, and scenic shots from around the Philippines and tourist locations (such as the Banaue rice terraces.)It doesn't cover Manila but mainly focuses on the north (Baguio, La Union, and Pangasinan.)Included are a few Tagalog words (with their English equivalents) and over 75 photos with brief descriptions.And at the very end there are a few advices that really can make a difference (in the bathroom, for example... :)This foto book is highly recommended for those who have colours on the Kindle, or to be looked at on computer, Laptop or tablet.But yet the in the black/white format of my old kindle they are very interesting.Made for all those who love travelling - in person or only from the armchair... :)I have all Randall Morris' books until now and will buy also those coming out in the future.
