Just curious as to who decided on the greatest rock albums of the 60's and 70's? The Sex Pistols, Blondie and Moby Grape were recognized but NOT the Beatles Sergeant Peppers (arguably the best R & R album of all time), The Stones Let it Bleed and Sticky Fingers or Led Zeppelin's II and IV which contained Stairway to Heaven???? These authors must have been smoking a lot of pot when they wrote this.

I truly enjoyed this kindle edition because of its variety in the Rock genre. Everything from the 60's to the 90's provides a little fun for everyone. Bill O'neill knows what he is talking about when he wrote this. His trivia books are outstanding and I can definitely recommend him

If you are rather young, or never really delved much into the music you listened to, you will probably learn quite a bit. However, if you are a real music geek, disc jockey, or just plain curious, and nosey about your favorite music, and bands...you probably already know most of what's here. None the less, it's a fun, enjoyable read, and a nice reminder of times, and music past.

Interesting stories and facts about the recording artists particularly from the 60's and 70's. Thought there should have been more from those years.

It's a good book for beginners in rock music. Just general info about the most outstanding bands and singers. Some interesting facts, trivia. No special analysis in deep.

I was hoping that this would be composed of more skillfully written anecdotes. Instead, it's just interesting facts reported in a disjointed fashion.

This is a very interesting book with a lot of Trivia. My daughter loves it>

We have made more than a few trips to Maine, so I thought I really knew that wonderful state, especially the coast. So I hesitated to buy yet another guidebook even though I needed up to date information fort this summer. My good friend recommended this new Frommer's Maine Coast so I decided to go for it and am so glad I did. Wow, what a great book! Full of interesting history, terrific places to visit and to stay and to eat.. And I especially liked the pull-out map--it is really clear and easy to use. This book is going to be in my hand all the way . The pages, of course, will be well-stained with butter from those fabulous Maine lobsters!

My friend Lisa was complaining about trying to plan a trip online, so I bought her this book. She just came back and is raving about how helpful the book was. She said that the book was a lifesaver, helping them create a logical plan for their trip and leading her to hidden gems (restaurants, tours, inns) that they didn't find in their online research. And apparently her phone died, so the pull-out map was super helpful. I always travel with Frommer's and am glad to hear that this one lives up to the usual high standards

I own the guide from 2005 and wanted the new update. I have used other guides and this is far superior. The information is so detailed and complete. Besides where to stay and eat, the general information really gives a feel for things to see and do. The continuous movement up the coast makes it very easy to plan my trip. The pull-out map is a bonus.

Excellent guide for finding quiet corners in an incredibly beautiful state.

Had to go to Portland, ME for biz and downloaded this book on whim. So glad I did. Found GREAT restaurants through it in Portland that I never would have found on my own---little holes in the wall, and buzzing places, all werre great. Then I decided to add on a few vacay days and it was a cinch to plan, thanks to the clear, easily followed info in the book. Ended up spending 5 days total (with the work days) and I'm planning to go back later in the summer b/c I fell in love with Maine. So glad I'll have this book to plan a second trip

And that goes for web info, too. I was planning this trip only on the web but I kept getting outdated wrong info. Then I turned to other guidebooks and finally got this one, which is the best BY FAR. Not only is it TOTALLY current, it has a point of view. The author gives start ratings to the places that are worth your while and explains why some others might only be of interest to people with certain types of interests. He explains really well how to get around, the pros and cons of each area and gives really useful itineraries at the start of the book. Plus, you can see, from the writing, how much the author loves his home state and that’s infectious—I enjoyed reading the book and found that it never steered me wrong once I got to Maine. This book will make your trip more fun. Get it!

Very good overall book for the Maine coast. Gives you many ideas for planning your trip.
